Cross Country starts

As the Commonwealth Games come to an end in the heat of Delhi, back home another cross country season will get under way.
The first of this year's Gwent League series will be held in Bridgend in just over a week's time, on Sunday, 10th October.
Cross country is an important part of the athletics season and Cardiff has traditionally done well in the Gwent League, especially in the younger age groups.
This season's fixtures will be as follows:
Sunday 10th October: Newbridge Fields, Bridgend
Sunday 14th November: Bath University
Saturday 4th December: Blaise Castle, Bristol
Saturday 12th February: Penlan Leisure Centre, Brecon
Saturday 12th March: Singleton Park, Swansea

All those intending to take part in Bridgend should let the team manager know as soon as possible, and not later than Thursday 7th October, by phone or text message.
