Johnson bidding for title
Friday 3 September 2010
Cardiff's in-form Michael Johnson will be chasing his second Welsh road title on Sunday 12th September in the Cardiff 10k which doubles as the Welsh Championship.
Mike (pictured in last year's race wearing No. 0003 with team mate Tom Marshall wearing 0005) took the 5k title in Swansea on 22nd August when he also led Cardiff to the team title.
The 25th edition of the Cardiff 10k takes place on the 12th September and returns to the Civic Centre, using a new fast flat route which will stay as the event’s regular course. Numbers are expected to be up for this year’s race due to extra advertising and the inclusion of the Welsh 10k Championships, Welsh Inter-area match and a Home Countries International is expected to add a punch at the sharp end.
Club man Jamie Baulch will be taking part, and Real Radio will be on hand to entertain. Entries close on the 6th September, but if you won’t be participating, the spectator friendly event would like to welcome onlookers and supporters.
